An anti-spam program that requires a human being on the sender's end to respond to an emailed challenge message before their messages can be delivered to recipients. Senders who answer the challenge correctly are added to an authorisation list. Email marketers find ways round this by designating an employee to watch the sending address' mailbox and replying to each challenge manually. A good reason to send from and have your reply to email as a monitored inbox.
